NAE Celebration, Hispanic Heritage Month, and Homecoming

Because of the pandemic, the event honored the 2019, 2020, and 2021 NAE inductees: Krishan Ahuja, John Koon, Tom Kurfess, Susan Margulies, Alex Shapiro, Andrés García, and Glaucio Paulino. Hispanic Heritage Month Closing Ball

The event, hosted by the Latin American Student Organization with the support of the Office of Hispanic Initiatives, included authentic Latin American food, raffles, a photo booth, a piñata, salsa and bachata performances, and dancing. Enterprise Innovation Institute

The Enterprise Innovation Institute’s (EI2) Innovation Ecosystems program recently hosted a delegation of 43 Colombian professionals, including presidents and executives of the Chambers of Commerce, SENA (Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje) instructors, and government officials during a week-long boot camp program on Technology Extension Services (TES) Oct. 4-8. This program is part of the EI2’s ongoing collaboration with Confecámaras and Colombia Productiva to support the design of a TES public policy and the implementation of the country’s signature Fábricas de Productividad program of technology extension. (No credit given)

Advanced Technology Development Center

The Advanced Technology Development Center honored the 10 companies that comprised its 2021 ATDC Startup Graduating Class at an event held at The Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design on Oct. 23. With this class, the number of startups to graduate from the incubator surpasses 200. Among the class graduates is FIXD, the startup founded by three Georgia Tech alumni while they were students, and LBA Ware, ATDC's first graduate company from Macon, Georgia.
