Both undergraduate and graduate students across all majors will soon have two opportunities to interact with employers and receive critiques about their resumes and interviewing skills.

The Center for Career Discovery and Development (C2D2) is hosting its annual Resume Review and Interview Rehearsal events in the coming weeks.

Resume Reviews

Resume Review sessions are 15 minutes, and students will receive feedback about resume content, appearance, and strengths from hiring managers who actively recruit Tech students. The reviews will take place in the Bill Moore Student Success Center and select locations around campus Aug. 27–29.

While these meetings are not hiring opportunities, they will allow participants to receive feedback, learn how to showcase their skills and experience in an effective way, and provide the information recruiters seek. Resume Review is a drop-in event; no RSVP is required. Students should bring a paper copy of their resume between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the day assigned for their college.

The Resume Review schedule and locations are as follows:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 27
    Computing and Liberal Arts
Location: Bill Moore Student Success Center (basement level)

Interview Rehearsals

At Interview Rehearsal, students can respond to questions in a mock interview setting and have their answers evaluated by recruiters. Interview Rehearsal is for students who seek to practice communicating their skills and experience and receive feedback on how to improve their interview performance.

Appointments can be made between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on each day via CareerBuzz. Some virtual sessions are also available.
