George P. Burdell Grants Three Commencement Wishes

Commencement Wishes

Commencement is when the dream of graduating from Georgia Tech finally comes true for hundreds of students. It’s also a time of reflection. As graduates transition from students to alumni, they look back at all they’ve done, and even a few things they wish they could have done.

For three students, their wish is George P. Burdell’s command….

1.

Jay Michal, graduating Spring 2015 with a B.S. in chemical and biomolecular engineering, wanted an opportunity to say “thanks” to two very special ladies who helped him reach a personal goal. George P. Burdell granted his wish and more….

2.

Enzo Azarcon, graduating Spring 2015 with a B.S. in industrial engineering, already has his dream job lined up. One of Enzo’s role models at Georgia Tech was President G.P. “Bud” Peterson, but he never got the chance to meet him. Fortunately, another “G.P.” –  as in Burdell – just happens to know him personally….

3.

Jill Cagliostro is making it out in four years, graduating Spring 2015 with a B.S. in computer science. Working hard from freshman year on, she sometimes had to miss out on the fun, but George P. Burdell is helping her make up for one missed memory….
