Manu O. Platt, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Wallace H. Coulter Dept. of
Biomedical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University, and a Georgia
Cancer Coalition Distinguished Cancer Scholar. His areas of research are: tissue remodeling
in arteries due to sickle cell disease or HIV-infection; roles of proteases in tumor
metastasis; and bone marrow-derived stem cell based therapies.
