Maryam Alavi, dean and Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. Chair in the Ernest Scheller Jr. College of Business, carried the mace for the master’s ceremony on May 5. This was Alavi’s final Commencement as dean. Charles Isbell, dean and John P. Imlay Jr. Chair in the College of Computing, carried the mace during the bachelor’s morning ceremony on May 6. This was Isbell’s final Commencement as a Georgia Tech faculty member, having accepted the position of provost at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His last day at Georgia Tech is July 31.
