Human Resources 'Be Well' Series Underway

The Be Well benefits education and wellness series gives Georgia Tech employees tools to make smarter health- and benefits- related decisions.

Navigating benefits and healthy living can be a challenge, especially when combined with the added pressures of the workplace. Last month, Georgia Tech Human Resources kicked off the fourth-year of its Be Well benefits education and wellness series by providing Georgia Tech employees with tools necessary to make smarter health- and benefits-related decisions.

Taught by trained professionals, Be Well workshops range from healthy cooking demos to managing stress at work. Feedback submitted by Georgia Tech employees informed other course topics like using leave for maternity.

“I am excited about incorporating new classes, based solely on employee feedback such as additional legal and health related workshops,” said Candice Bovian, work/life benefits specialist for Human Resources. “This year, we’ve added a bankruptcy protection workshop in addition to the very popular wills and power-of-attorney class. We've also added more nutrition and diet related classes to the curriculum.”

Registration is required for all classes except the 2016 Summer Camp Expo and Bank at Work Day. Space is limited, so register early. There will also be two webinars this year, so employees can participate without even leaving their desks.
