On Campus
DramaTech Theatre presents High Ground
On Friday, Oct. 6, DramaTech presents High Ground, an original play written by Georgia Tech student Caleigh Derreberry. The show starts at 8 p.m. at the DramaTech Theatre, located at the back corner of the Ferst Center for the Arts. Purchase tickets here. Attend to support a Georgia Tech student and enjoy a unique play.
Chasing Coral – A Netflix Original Documentary
On Saturday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m., Exposure Labs Production and the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, in partnership with Kim Cobb, professor in the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, will host a screening of Chasing Coral. The documentary covers the devastating death of coral around the world. The documentary will be shown at the Student Center Theater. Sign up for the screening here.
Glass Shop Customer Appreciation Open House
On Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 9 a.m., the glass lab in the Ford Environmental Science and Technology Building will host an open house to showcase what services it offers. There will be glassblowing demonstrations, suggestions on how to care for glassware, and glass souvenirs.
Off Campus
Trailblazers BeltLine Trip with Park Pride
Join Park Pride and the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership on the newly opened Westside Trail for a volunteer workday on Saturday, Oct. 7. This will be a great chance to see the new section of trail, do some great work, and get an update from BeltLine staff about the progress of the BeltLine. Cost is $4 and includes snacks. Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain
From Sept. 29 through Oct. 29, Stone Mountain Park will host its annual Pumpkin Festival to celebrate the fall season. This event includes a variety of autumnal activities, along with classic Stone Mountain Park attractions like its ropes course and Summit Skyride. Access to the Pumpkin Festival is included with a daily pass which can be purchased here.
Halloween Escape Room at Atlanta Room Escape
Get in the spooky spirit by working through an escape room at Atlanta Room Escape. Grab a group of friends and use wit, sleuthing skills, team work, and sheer determination to get through the room within 60 minutes. Tickets can be purchased here.
World of Coca-Cola Georgia Residents Discount
From Oct. 1–31, Georgia residents are eligible to purchase two general admission tickets to the World of Coca-Cola for $25 (plus tax). To redeem this offer, visit the World of Coca-Cola and bring a Georgia driver’s license, Georgia state-issued ID card, Georgia-based military ID, or any Georgia federal, state, country, or city government agency issued ID card to the ticket window. This offer only applies for the month of October, so fall break is the perfect time to enjoy the discount.
Peachtree Road Farmers Market 10th Anniversary
On Monday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m., the Peachtree Road Farmers Market will host an evening of local food, live music, dining, and dancing to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Tickets can be purchased here.
