Charitable Campaign Team With President Cabrera

In a display of generosity, Georgia Tech has once again secured the Governor's Cup for its contributions to charitable causes.  

The Institute won the award for contributions to the 2023-24 Georgia State Charitable Contribution Program, achieving the highest dollar amount in contributions among state agencies with more than 9,000 employees. 

The victory marks a consecutive win for Georgia Tech and reflects both the generosity of employees and the efforts of campus ambassadors. 

The following employees served in leadership roles in this year’s campaign: 

  • Byron Fitch, outgoing co-chair (2021–23) 

  • Robert Harris, co-chair (2022–24) 

  • Jacqueline Garner, co-chair (2023–25) 

  • Will Jimerson, incoming co-chair (2024–26) 

  • Greg Pridgen and Stephen Hutchings, Human Resources support team 

The annual campaign collects donations for nonprofits and charitable organizations that serve communities all over the state. All state entities, including University System of Georgia schools, participate in the annual fundraiser.
