To more effectively support the Institute’s expanding strategic needs, Tony Zivalich, associate vice president for the Office of Real Estate Development, will transition to the role of senior advisor for Real Estate effective March 1. In this new capacity, Zivalich will report directly to Shantay N. Bolton, executive vice president for Administration and Finance, and will provide comprehensive and strategic advisement on real estate matters for the Institute.
“During this time of exponential growth at Georgia Tech, it is clear that we need to keep a laser focus on the growing needs of our campus community while navigating the evolving real estate environment to achieve the priorities stated in the Institute’s updated strategic plan,” said Bolton. “Given Tony’s extensive experience in working with government and community leaders, developers, investors, corporate occupants, and campus partners, he will provide the advisement needed to move our real estate interests forward.”
Since 1998, Zivalich has played an active role in advising, leading, and overseeing multiple high-profile developments that have advanced the Institute’s mission and strategic plan. These innovative projects include Technology Square, Coda and the High Performance Computing Center, The Interlock in West Midtown, Cobb County Research Campuses for the Georgia Tech Research Institute, and the rapidly expanding Science Square district.
“I am honored to take on this new role and continue contributing to Georgia Tech’s growth and success,” said Zivalich. “I look forward to working closely with Shantay Bolton and the rest of the team to navigate the evolving real estate landscape and support the Institute’s strategic goals.”
A search for a successor will launch immediately, and details about interim leadership for the Office of Real Estate Development will be announced in the coming weeks.
