Georgia Tech’s lacrosse team won its third consecutive SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference championship last week, coming into the weekend ranked No. 6 and emerging victorious.

The team plays in the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA), which includes 183 teams across 42 states and two countries.

Tech brought 33 players to the SELC championship in Jacksonville, Florida, making it one of the smaller rosters in the conference. Despite ups and downs throughout the season, Head Coach Ken Lovic noted the perseverance of the team and their ability to play at a high level when it mattered most.

“At times this season, it looked like maybe we were not going to maximize our talent and rise to the challenge of stronger competition,” he said. “The question was whether we could match teams that were playing their best lacrosse, were talented, and extra motivated to defeat the Jackets. And the answer was a resounding yes.”

The 2025 MCLA National Championships take place May 5 – 10 in Round Rock, Texas. Check for updates at mcla.us/tournaments/championships
