Georgia Tech Prepares for Football Season Opener

Students, faculty, and staff should anticipate increased campus congestion and modifications to parking locations and transportation schedules on Thursday, Sept. 3.
Nighttime game at Bobby Dodd Stadium

Georgia Tech is excited to host the University of Colorado for the Yellow Jackets’ football season opener at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field.

Students, faculty, and staff should anticipate increased campus congestion and modifications to parking locations and transportation schedules that day. Notifications to move vehicles will continue to be sent to permit holders in affected parking areas throughout the week, especially with some areas closing as early as 3 p.m. on game day. Visit the Parking and Transportation website for details.

While no formal work schedule modifications are being made at the Institute level, supervisors are encouraged to be flexible with employees and ensure that they are aware of alternative parking options, available flexible work arrangements, and time-off request procedures.

Georgia Tech faculty and staff can purchase up to four tickets for just $10 apiece for this game. This exclusive offer is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and only a limited number of tickets remain. Purchase your tickets today. In addition, the Helluva Block Party is moving to Bobby Dodd Way, with activities beginning four hours before kickoff. Learn more here.
