Basketball, Secretary of Commerce Visit, and Commencement
Georgia Tech women’s basketball captured one of the biggest wins in program history, a 57-44 victory over No. 3 Connecticut on Dec. 9. A crowd of 4,578, the second largest for a women’s basketball game in McCamish Pavilion history, was on hand. Photo taken by Danny Karnik.
Georgia Tech was awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration as part of its $1 billion Build Back Better Regional Challenge. Tech is one of 60 entities to be awarded funding to assist communities nationwide in their efforts to accelerate the rebuilding of their economies in the wake of the pandemic.
