Students made waves during the Week of Welcome at the Great Cardboard Boat Race at McAuley Aquatic Center. Teams of students had 90 minutes to build a boat using only one roll of duct tape and unlimited cardboard. One team member had to then race the boat down the 25-meter pool to the finish line. The fastest teams were Lifeboat (10:04:83), Vegan Mac 'n' Cheese (11:14:50), and Sink or Swim (11:40:07). The most creative boat was awarded to Banana Boat. Photo taken Aug. 18 by Allison Carter.
